Archeological finds in all of the Caraga, specially in Butuan, are considered gems of great significance in South-east Asia. The BUTUAN REGIONAL MUSEUM repository of pre-historic archeological diggings, stone age artifacts, burial coffins, Chinese ceramics and religious and liturgical arts and material and other collection in the Diocesian Ecclesiastical Museum.

According to the Chinese Song She (history) people from the region has already established trading relations with the kingdom of Champa ( present day South Vietnam) as early as the 10^th century. And it is believed that the people in the region, as well as its history, culture and arts began as early as the 4^th century.

In the 11^th century BUTUAN was the center of trade and commerce, long before the Philippines pictured in the world map.

Antonio Pigafetta, chronicle of world Ferdinand Magellan described in his records the presence of RAJAS SIAIU of Mazaua and his brother RAJA CULAMBU of Butuan during “THE First MASS” and his words of CALAGAN and Balanghai, never did the expect that is narration of those event in the 14century would create a controversy, interest and challenge to out local historians.

Tourist attraction like the Diocesan Ecclesiastical Museum, HISTORIC MAGALLANES MARKER erected in 1872 to commemorate the celebration of the first Mass in the Philippines, the floating Village, Waterfalls, and the famous Agusan Marsh- the home of the world’s endangered Flora and Fauna, the Museum which also depicts the trade, life and civilization of the Caragans are just a few steps away from the hotel.
