GAME FOWL FEEDS ARE EASIEST TO MIX

You need at least P2,000 to 5,000 to mix game fowl feeds or feeds for fighting cocks and chicks.

Many fighting cock raisers do not know that it is the BREEDER FEED fed to the hen that is most important in game fowl feeds, followed only by the STARTER FEED and the GROWER FEED, that are also critical to achieving the best potential of a chick. Also, many game fowl feeds today contain ingredients that actually lessen the strength, speed and stamina of the fighting cock. Without knowing it, you have been putting your cock in a disadvantaged position. Small raisers may use STARTER for growing and adult cocks, only it costs more than ADULT feed. 

Finally, it is the LAST 14-DAY PRE-FIGHT FEED to the fighting cock that will improve its chance of winning the fight. After you have attracted some customers, you can sell them the secret FEED AND EXERCISE METHOD known only by a very few champion raisers—feed ration, feeding instructions and conditioning of the cock—to improve its chance of winning. This last feed formula and exercises package also costs P990. This is different and separate from the ADULT FIGHTING COCK FEED formula.

Feed mixing for game fowls is a hot home business that you can start with less than P5,000 capital. It is simple work that you can do at home using only a clean basin and ladle. Just follow the feed formula and the instructions that come with it. And if you buy only good quality ingredients you have a product that customers will come back again and again to buy. Turnover is fast and earnings are steady because feeds are consumed everyday.

A 20 kg or 50 kg weighing scale and a big basin for mixing the ingredients will do for a start. Polypropylene or polyethylene bags are used for packaging. Use a plastic heat sealer or a lighted candle to seal the packed feeds.

Commercial feed formulas are available (P990 per one formula) for starters, growers, adult fighting cocks, pre-fight feed and for breeder hens. Separate formulas for commercial feed millers cost P1,990 per one formula.

With the feed formula you can easily save 50% if you mix your own feeds because you buy most ingredients direct from the farmers or rice mill.

The feed formulas and instructions are easy-to-understand. The feed formula indicates all locally-available ingredients to be used and percentages or weights in grams or kg. Also included are instructions on where to buy the ingredients.

GENERAL FEED INFORMATION

In feed formulation, it is not exactly protein content of an ingredient that is important but the amounts of each limiting amino acids in the ingredient and the vitamins. Also, all required nutrients in the mixed feed should be present preferably in their proper amounts. Less or more is to be avoided as the deficiency or excess of a nutrient will affect the absorption of the other nutrients.

Some animals are particularly sensitive to the deficiency or excess of some nutrients that high mortality is usually experienced by raisers who have no idea what's happening to their animals. Also, most fighting cock raisers do not know the secret feed formulas and methods of champion raisers, who closely guard their secrets.

THE FEED FORMULATOR

The feed formulator has studied animal and plant nutrition for 10 years, has lectured to feedmillers in Manila and Luzon in the early 1990's jointly with the Bureau of Animal Industry of the Department of Agriculture, has mixed and tried actual feeds, has raised livestock, fish, pets and honeybees and has managed commercial orchards, planted vegetables and fruit trees.
